Our engagement and exhibition project, The world is in you (Read more about the project via this link) is beginning to take shape, and we are gearing up for the big exhibition at Charlottenborg, which opens at the end of September next year. In the run up to the exhibition, we have planned a number of activities (more news about the program will be forthcoming shortly!) and we are getting started with this series of conversations. During four Sundays in November, we will dive into the four thematic and research areas that the project focus on: Microbes (microbiome research), Time (chronobiology), Space (space medicine and astrobiology) and Generations (epigenetics). These point to human bodies as more porous and entangled with the outside world than has previously been scientifically recognized. For better or worse.
In conversation, a researcher and a curator will look inward and examine how the world literally leaves its imprint in our body. The researchers talk about their work with the big questions that their science raises, and the curators situate the research historically and culturally.
The conversations are based on the latest research, but as with the project as a whole, their purpose is to examine questions rather than answers. Join us in an open discussion about the many strings that connect us to our past, health and the planet we inhabit.
Due to Corona restrictions we can not have as many guest as we normally have room for in the old auditorium at the Museion.
