Patrick is an interdisciplinary researcher working across history, philosophy, and social studies of the biomedical sciences. He has degrees in philosophy, chemistry, and cell biology (PhD), and postdoc experience in exposure science. Now he is pursuing a PhD in science studies (jointly affiliated with Medical Museion and CBMR). His doctoral project uses ethnographic methods to investigate the social and epistemic roles of shared research infrastructures (especially core facilities and technology platforms) in the context of large biomedical research centers.
