Kom til en levende eftermiddag på Medicinsk Museion, hvor vi genbesøger udstillingsprojektet Verden er i dig, der løb af stablen på Kunsthal Charlottenborg i slutningen af 2021. Der vil være både performances fra nogle af de kunstnere, der skabte værker til udstillingen, samt korte foredrag om blandingen af kunst, videnskab og historie fra museets kuratorer.

Un·Earthing your Body / Løsriv din krop fra Jorden
Øvelse af den østrigske kunster Ralo Mayer
Hvordan vil du forberede din krop på at leve på andre planeter, for eksempel på Mars? I denne øvelse vil kunstneren og den selverklærede meteoritslikker Ralo Mayer guide deltagerne mod en såkaldt Un·Earthing praksis. Det er en rejse med omdrejningspunkt i farmakologien og ret så fysisk kontakt med stykker af kosmos.

Dreaming the Biosphere / Drømmen om biosfæren
Oplæsning af den amerikanske forsker Mark Nelson
Fra 1991 til 1993 levede forskeren Mark Nelson sammen med syv andre inde i Biosphere 2, en gigantisk drivhus-lignende konstruktion med marker, regnskov, hav, savanne og marskland. Under opholdet førte han en såkaldt ”drømmedagbog” for at registrere udviklingen i sin forbundethed med biosfærens økosystem. Til eventen viser vi en filmoptagelse, hvor Nelson læser op af dagbogen – første gang for et offentligt publikum.

Join us for a lively afternoon at the Medicinsk Museion, where we revisit the exhibition project The World is in You, which took place at Kunsthal Charlottenborg at the end of 2021. The event will feature performances by some of the artists who created works for the exhibition as well as short lectures about the mix of art, science and history in the exhibition by the curators. Un·Earthing your Body
Exercise by Ralo Mayer
How would do you prepare your body for living on other planets, say, like Mars? In his exercise, artist and self-confessed meteorite licker Ralo Mayer will guide the participants towards a practice of un·Earthing, a journey that revolves around pharmacology and quite physical contact with pieces of the cosmos.
Digesting the Holobiont
A guided meditative tour by Amanda Baum, of Baum & Leahy
Baum will give a visual tour of the work Cometabolise: A Holobiont Dinner and the transdisciplinary process of creating it and integrate it into a journey into our holobiont bodies.
Dreaming the Biosphere
Reading by Mark Nelson
From 1991 to 1993 the scientist Mark Nelson, together with seven other people, lived in Biosphere 2, a gigantic greenhouse-like structure with agricultural fields, rainforest, ocean, savannah and marshland. During the stay he kept a so-called dream diary to register the development of his connectedness to the eco-system of the new biosphere. For the event we will show a recording of Nelson reading aloud from the dream diary – for the first time in public.
